False alarm! Cobourg police arrest 55-year-old woman

A 55-year-old woman from Cobourg is in trouble after causing a false fire alarm.
On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, around 4:00 p.m., the Cobourg Police got several 911 calls from a drunk person threatening to pull the fire alarm at a building on King Street East.
While the police were on their way, the fire alarm was pulled, and the police, fire, and paramedics arrived.
There was no fire; it was a false alarm.
After investigating, the police arrested the woman and charged her with causing a false fire alarm, being drunk in public, and resisting arrest.
She was released with a promise to appear in court later.
